St. Jane

It was an honor to work on the name and branding of a hotel inside Chicago’s landmark Carbide & Carbon building on Michigan Avenue. Tasked with giving this iconic building back to the people of Chicago, Phenomenon dedicated the hotel concept to Jane Addams—America’s first female Nobel Peace Prize recipient, and a Chicago resident. When my research revealed that Jane Addams’ social work and peace efforts earned her the nickname Saint Jane, I proposed it as the name of the hotel. St. Jane Chicago opened June 2018.
